What Medications are used to treat ED?
Traditionally there were two main medications used to treat ED. The first is Viagra, is the OG blue pill that was used to treat ED. This pill is taken as needed when you are planning on having an intimate night and usually works within 30-60 minutes. The second is Cialis, this is a pill that is taken daily so that you will be ready whenever the moment hits. These two used to be the main medications on the market and are still quite expensive. Luckily, the patent ran out and there are two generic forms that you can get at a faction of the price!
Viagra is what is known as a sildenafil citrate, now you can get that same sildenafil citrate in a generic pill! This pill is known as Sildenafil. Sildenafil has a shorter active time frame, lasting in the body for 4 to 6 hours.
The generic form of Cialis is called Tadalafil. Tadalafil remains in the body longer than Sildenafil, usually around 36 hours, this means that you have a larger window of opportunity to get down.
Both Tadalafil and Sildenafil work just as well as their ‘parent’ counterparts, the only difference? Extra money in your pocket that you will save!
